foodbank.city Spotlights Electronic Signatures, Bringing Paperless Consent to Food Bank Intake

Clients sign on a tablet or phone during intake, and every signature is stored digitally with the client record

October 20, 2026 – foodbank.city, the cloud-based food bank management platform, today highlighted Electronic Signatures, a feature in its Client & Guest Management tools. Electronic Signatures lets food banks capture signatures on a tablet or phone during intake.

Signatures are a routine part of registering a family, and the platform's Client Registration & Intake feature uses electronic signatures to capture consent at intake. With Electronic Signatures, that step happens right on a tablet or phone, so food banks no longer need paper forms to collect it.

Every signature is stored digitally with the client record. Instead of keeping signed forms on paper, staff and volunteers have each signature kept alongside the rest of the client's information in foodbank.city.

Electronic Signatures is part of foodbank.city's Client & Guest Management tools and, like every tool in the platform's complete feature set, is included with no extra costs.
