foodbank.city Spotlights Point of Sale (POS) for One-Step Client Checkout

A point-of-sale station deducts credits, prints a service ticket, and updates inventory in a single step

October 28, 2026 – foodbank.city, the cloud-based food bank management platform, today highlighted its Point of Sale (POS) feature, part of its Inventory & Donations tools. With Point of Sale, food banks check out clients at a point-of-sale station that deducts credits, prints a service ticket, and updates inventory in one step.

Checkout is where several records have to change at once: what the family received, what is left on the shelves, and what the visit should show. The Point of Sale station handles those together, so staff and volunteers complete a checkout in one step instead of updating separate records by hand.

When a client checks out, the POS station deducts their credits, prints a service ticket for the visit, and updates the food bank's inventory at the same time.

Point of Sale is part of foodbank.city's complete feature set, where every tool is included with no extra costs.
